It’s a good idea to review the testing and retake guidelines for your state. Some students use their GED diploma to attend college or university and want a high score such as College Ready or College Ready Plus Credit. This allows you to focus on the goal of scoring 145 points on each topic and then repeat that until you pass all the subjects. In general, you can repeat any topic indefinitely, although after multiple attempts, you may be asked to wait 60 days.
A student must score at least 145 points in each of the four modules, 580 out of 800 points, to receive the minimum grade.
How is the GED score calculated?
When Marie enters her GED value for each subject in the calculator, the last field shows her estimated GPA value. Each section on the GED is scored between 100 and 200 points, with 100 being the lowest score you can score and 200 being the highest. Your GED score can help you determine your eligibility for scholarships, college admissions, or even employment. The fifth test series consists of four content area modules, each of which covers the content area described below and is aligned with the standards of career and university entrance qualification.
Not all universities accept credits earned as part of the GED program. Check with the schools you are interested in.
